Using the vehicle of multi-media entertainment and a real-life scenario, Dr. Faisal Hossain, a member of the SWOT Science Definition Team, and a Fulbright Scholar has experimented with an alternative approach to illuminating a deeper meaning and societal relevance of the science outcomes of satellite data. This poignant docu-fictional story, set in Bangladesh, ties together the potential relevance of satellite technology to the lives of real people. It showcases how research and emerging technology can positively impact the social fabric of rural life.

A cast of professional actors, actresses and a film crew were used. Preproduction took almost 6 months followed by several months of post-production and editing. Many agencies (NASA and US Department of State) and friends assisted in the creation of this story.
